Personalized Tutoring That Builds Confidence

Supporting students in math, reading, and language arts through one-on-one and small group tutoring.

A Personal Approach to Learning

Every student learns differently — and that’s okay.

As the owner and operator of Lisa DeLeon Tutoring Services, I work with students from preschool through college, providing both one-on-one and small group instruction, in person and online.

Over the past several years, I’ve had the privilege of working with students of all ages and learning styles, including those who need extra support, are learning English as a second language, or benefit from a different approach. I draw from both traditional and Montessori methods to meet each student where they are.

My experience includes six years at Valley Christian Academy, where I taught high school English, math, and college prep courses. I also worked in a specialized classroom supporting students with learning differences and unique academic needs.

Earlier in my career, I worked as a preschool teacher at Valley Christian Preschool, where I built a strong foundation in early learning, including phonics, numbers, and handwriting, as well as classroom structure and support.

Before entering education, I worked as an Office Manager at Abbey Carpet, where I developed strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to doing things well — qualities I bring into every tutoring session.
